Mission Statement: The City Clerk's mission is to maintain and provide public records, quality services and assistance to the public, elected officials and City Departments relative to the functions of government in a courteous, timely and cost effective manner.
Personnel: Our department is comprised of the City Clerk, two Office Assistants, and nearly 100 part time poll workers.

2026 Election Dates:
Spring Primary - Tuesday, February 17, 2026 (There will be a Primary for District 7 ONLY)
Spring Election - Tuesday, April 7, 2026
Partisan Primary - Tuesday, August 11, 2026
General Election - Tuesday, November 3, 2026
For the Spring Election, the following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed:
-Alderperson, District 1, Wards 1 & 2, 3 years, Incumbent: David Olson
-Alderperson, District 4, Wards 7 & 8, 3 years, Incumbent: Jason Kent
-Alderperson, District 7, Ward 13, 3 years, Incumbent: Scott Sloan
-Alderperson, District 8, Ward 14, 1 Year, Vacant (Nomination papers for District 8 must be circulated after December 10, 2025.)

* Residents can visit MyVote to submit their voter registration and/or request an absentee ballot be mailed to them. Note: In order to register at MyVote, your Driver's License must include your current address.
* Paper applications requesting an absentee ballot are also acceptable. Please complete, and mail back to the Clerk's Office, the Application for Absentee Ballot Form. Please remember to include a copy of your photo ID. Applications received without an acceptable photo ID will be returned as incomplete.
