The 3-mile paved Riverwalk follows the Baraboo River as it winds through the City. Several dog waste stations and benches are located along the route and many scenic overlooks of the river are available. The Riverwalk remains a popular place for residents and visitors to walk, jog, ride bike and enjoy nature, and is part of the national Ice Age Scenic Trail which connects to other Wisconsin communities, parks and natural areas. The Riverwalk starts just west of Ochsner Park at 8th Street and ends at Maxwell-Potter Conservancy on Hill Street.
The Maxwell-Potter bridge adds another great extension to the Riverwalk with more opportunities to observe nature and wildlife while crossing the Baraboo River.
