Special Funds for the City of Baraboo

Interaction with the youth of our community is an essential means of promoting safety and good decision making for our youngest and often most susceptible citizens.  Through programs that focus on safety education and help to promote positive police contacts with our youth, we are able to make significant impact.  Often small items such as pencils and coloring materials that support safety topics are positive means of reinforcing the message from the officer long after the child meets us and lets parents know what their child is being taught about safety.  Support of these programs helps us to teach our children about topics such as:

• Stranger Danger
• Internet Safety
• Halloween Safety
• Bicycle Safety
• Vehicle/ Pedestrian Safety (wearing seat belts)
