9th Ave Water Main Replacement
9th Avenue west of Draper St. will be closed to traffic starting Monday July 27th.
On Wednesday a directional drill rig will horizontally drill from Berkley Blvd. to Draper St.
The contractor will assemble the entire 970 feet of pipe into one piece.
On Thursday July 30th, the new water main will get installed.
The new water main will be pulled down the side of 9th Ave toward Summit St, connected to the drill and pulled back into place.
This process will take 3-4 hours and during that time the driveways on the north side of 9th Ave (720 through 604 9th Ave) from Draper to Summit will not be accessible.
